9 Ways Dogs Show They Love Us

Dog species is “(woman/man)’s closest companion” for a reason. All you've got to try to do is click on any social media site or animal-related website to seek out samples of dogs showing their love for his or her special human.

Dogs may depend upon us, but they also want to be with us, and that they (for the foremost part) would hand over their lives for us. Now that’s dedication, I’d say.

1. Wet Sloppy Kisses

Wet sloppy kisses from a date could also be a turn-off, but when it involves our pooches, there’s nothing quite love it. Licking your face, hand, or wherever the tongue lands is the canine’s way of saying “you’re all right in my books.”

2. Tail (Butt) Wagging

A wagging tail can have multiple meanings, but if you've got an honest relationship together with your pup, you'll bet that a full-body tail wag held at mid-level is saying “I’m so happy to ascertain you.” If the tail is held over to the proper side of his body, that’s a positive signal that indicates he's comfortable and happy.

When you meet a friendly dog, you immediately know by that wagging or swishing tail that he’s glad you’re there.

3. Knowing Your Needs

Studies have proven it, and pet parents realize it, dogs are in tune with our mind-sets and our sicknesses. Plenty of pet parents can attest to the very fact that their dog will offer a mild paw (or head) on the lap or maybe their own favorite toy when they discern their favorite human isn’t quite right.

All dogs “need a touch time alone.” they'll explode and investigate a sound, take a nap during a quiet area, or chase to an offending squirrel or bird that pops into the yard. But the one trait most our canine buddies possess, is that they know when to see back in on their humans without being asked – doesn’t it just cause you to feel warm and fuzzy?

5. The Lean-In

Our dogs want to be close to us. Some have perfected the lean-in. This is where your dog will lean on you (you may need to brace yourself if he’s a hefty fella). This behavior is your dog’s way of claiming “I trust you and need to be on the brink of you.”

6. Sleeping Buddy

Animals are at their most vulnerable once they are asleep, so if your canine companion curls up with you in the dark (or when you’re napping) take it as a compliment. This means he trusts you completely.

7. They Look You in the Eye

Dogs want to be with their family. It’s a social commitment hardwired in canines. From your pet’s point of view, the foremost influential person in his life is his leader. He looks to you for friendship, endorsement, direction, appropriate consideration and love. That’s an awesome and rewarding responsibility.

Getting and holding eye contact together with your dog helps to strengthen the bond between you. Gazing into his eyes increases oxytocin (a chemical within the brain referred to as the love hormone) in both of you. Making eye contact together with your dog says he’s comfortable looking to you for guidance, especially once you got to get his attention.

8. They Bring You Their Toys

Sure. they will be wet, slobbery and be falling apart, but when a dog brings you his favorite toy, meaning you're well-loved. Sharing is caring!

9. Jumping on You & Roughhousing

Although we as pet parents may frown on the action, jumping up and roughhousing isn't seen by our canines as anything but a symbol of affection and a crucial part of our dog’s social development.

Being greeted like this is often your pooch’s instinctive way of recognizing you because of the “parent” of the connection. Of course, these actions can go too far (especially if you've got an outsized dog otherwise you are smaller in stature), so make certain to coach your puppy to know when enough is enough.

Our dogs do their best to point out us we mean the planet to them, do them a favor and be the simplest pet parent you'll be. Dogs are a privilege, not a right, so treat them like they're the simplest friend you’ll ever have.
